Projects underway to promote Agriculture, farmers’ financial status: Agriculture Secretary

Secretary agriculture Punjab Muhammad Mehmood said the Punjab government launched different mega projects for welfare of farmers.

In a press statement issued here on Tuesday, he said the projects would surely help improving financial status of farmers and boosting agriculture sector also. He said different targets had been set and hoped the targets would be met within stipulated time period.

The government is paying immense focus on latest technology, he said and added the use of latest technology was of vital importance to get bumper crop.

He directed field the staff to create maximum awareness to farmers about latest trends and farming techniques so that they would be able to earn handsome amounts. Secretary agriculture maintained that prosperity of the country was linked to prosperity of farmers.
