PM reiterates govt's commitment to timely complete CPEC projects

February 15, 2019: Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated government's commitment to timely complete China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

He stated this while talking to Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing who called on him in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister also expressed satisfaction at the important progress made on CPEC projects.

He emphasized on transfer of technology and enhancing capacity in agriculture sector which would have direct impact on poverty alleviation in rural areas.

The Prime Minister said CPEC has added a new dimension to bilateral ties.

Imran Khan also praised vision of President Xi for socio-economic development and said Pakistan can learn much from Chinese experience.

Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing reaffirmed his country's resolve to work closely with Pakistan to further strengthen bilateral relations.

After the meeting, he told Media that ease of doing business, Clean Green Pakistan programme, opening of Pakistan's economy for the world and policies regarding foreign direct investment as well as enhancing exports are laudable.
