PKR touches 190 in intraday trade against USD

May 11, 2022 (MLN): While making its all-time new low at 190 per US dollar, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) has lost 1.34 rupees during intraday trade, compared to the previous day’s close of 188.66 per USD.

The rupee was quoted at 189.89/ 190.04 (11:19 PST) with trades reported at 190.

The PKR is under pressure due to paying higher oil Import bill and speculation awaiting the Saudi package, Ahsan Mehanti, Director Arif Habib Group told Mettis Global.
