PKR appreciates further by 1.6 rupees in early trade

April 22, 2020 (MNL): PKR appreciated by 1.6 rupees in early trade and was being quoted at 159.30/159.60, before easing back to 159.70/160.00.

So far this week, the local currency has gained Rs 4.12 or 2.5% against the US Dollar. Moreover, it has regained 8.50 rupees since it hit an all-time low of 167.8975 on April 07.

It is pertinent to note that this is the first time since March 24, 2020 that the USD was below 160.
