Petrol price likely to drop by Rs2.86 per litre

October 28, 2022 (MLN): The price of petrol is likely to see a drop of Rs2.86 to stand at Rs221.94 per litre from Nov 1.

Following calculations of the oil sector in the country, diesel prices may increase by Rs3.70 to Rs239 per litre.

Meanwhile, the kerosene oil will likely see an uptick of 29 paisa to Rs192.21 per litre.

On the other hand, the price of light diesel may go down by Rs4.23 to Rs182.27 per litre.

It is pertinent to mention that the aforementioned estimations are inclusive of the present tax structure.

To reacall, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced in a video message on Oct 16 announced to keep the petrol price unchanged at Rs224.80 per litre. 

However, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) had recommended a slight cut in petrol prices while proposing an increase in the prices of diesel, kerosene oil and light diesel oil (LDO).
