February 01, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan's yearly inflation rate (new base 2015-16) in January 2022 was 13 percent compared to 12.3 percent in December 2021 and 5.7 percent in January 2021.

The July-January average inflation is 10.26 percent compared to 8.19 percent from the corresponding period last year.

Market expectations for January 2022 were between 12.7 percent and 13.4  percent with an average estimate of 13.03 percent.

On a monthly basis, it increased by 0.4 percent in January 2022 as compared to a decrease of 0.02 percent in the previous month and a decline of 0.2 percent in January 2021.
