April 22, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan and the World Bank have recently agreed on a decade-long Country Partnership Framework (CPF), with four out of six expected outcomes addressing the existential challenges of climate and population, as informed by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb.

This was shared during his meeting with H.E. Mohamed Nasheed, Secretary General of the Climate Vulnerable Forum & Vulnerable 20 (CVF-V20), according to the press release issued today.

He appreciated the visit of the CVF Secretariat team to Pakistan and the joint development of the Climate Prosperity Plan (CPP) to explore financing possibilities for specific project proposals.

He also briefed on a new arrangement under the IMF’s Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) and expressed the resolve to jointly work to finalize the projects under the CPP and develop a phased approach for project financing.
