Pakistan, U.S. hold talks on blockchain, AI cooperation

May 15, 2025 (MLN): In a key move to enhance U.S.-Pakistan collaboration in the digital economy, Bilal Bin Saqib, CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council, held a meeting with Natalia Baker, Acting U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan.

The dialogue focused on mutual goals related to blockchain, artificial intelligence, and youth empowerment.

The primary agenda was to equip Pakistan’s large and skilled youth population with expertise in emerging technologies, while also fostering connections between U.S. institutions and Pakistan’s growing startup sector.

The Council reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to position itself as a global innovation hub, with a strong focus on blockchain and AI, as per the press release issued today.

“Pakistan is home to one of the world’s youngest populations eager, ambitious, and ready to lead the future of Web3 and AI,” stated Bilal Bin Saqib.

“This is the time to invest in them, to connect them with global leaders, and to create real pipelines of opportunity between the U.S. and Pakistan.”

Future initiatives discussed include collaborative programs, talent exchanges, and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between U.S. technology firms and Pakistani startups, aiming to create lasting, mutually beneficial partnerships.

The Pakistan Crypto Council reaffirmed its dedication to using blockchain as a platform for diplomacy, education, and empowerment ensuring that Pakistani youth actively participate in and lead the global digital transformation.
