Pakistan, Iran to establish sub-committee to resolve customs issues

September 25, 2024 (MLN): Pakistan and Iran agreed on Tuesday to form a sub-committee to further discuss and resolve customs-related issues between the two brotherly countries.

The goal is to eliminate irritants in bilateral trade and fully tap into the true trade potential for increased economic activity between the two neighbors.

According to a press statement, these discussions took place between Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial, Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue, and H.E. Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, the Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters pertaining to customs, cross-border trade and management for smooth flow of bilateral trade between the two countries.
