Pakistan boosts energy ties with Azerbaijan

June 03, 2025 (MLN): The government has strengthened cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector, according to Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik.

During his visit to Baku, the Minister met with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, and termed the Baku Energy Forum a vital platform for international collaboration in the energy domain.

He also commended the continued support of brotherly nations in advancing Pakistan’s energy sector, according to the press release issued.

Earlier, Malik held a meeting with Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), where both sides discussed deepening bilateral cooperation and exploring fresh opportunities in oil and gas.

Reaffirming the government's commitment, Ali Pervaiz Malik emphasized building a strong partnership with global energy firms like SOCAR through investment and joint ventures, aiming to further strengthen ties with Azerbaijan.
