Over 74 percent wheat procurement target achieved in Faisalabad

Punjab Food Department has so far achieved over 74 percent of the wheat procurement target by purchasing approximately 40 thousand wheat bags during ongoing drive in Faisalabad division.

According to official sources around fifty thousand Bardana (jute bags) have been distributed among the farmers which is equal to 93.13 percent of the procurement target, reported Radio Pakistan.

Sources said that besides accelerating the efforts to achieve the wheat procurement target within stipulated time the department has so far procured 325,293 metric ton wheat in the division against the fixed target, registering over 70 percent procurement target.
