Over 10.7 million cotton bales reach ginneries all over Pakistan

June 10, 2019 (MLN): Nearly 10.7 million bales of cotton arrived at a number of ginneries across Pakistan as of June 1, 2019.

In line with the data released by Pakistan Cotton Ginners’ Association (PCGA), around 6.6 million bales of cotton arrived at ginneries in Punjab, whereas 4.1 million bales arrived in Sindh.

Based on the figures provided by PCGA, nearly 10.3 million bales were sold to the textile industry, whereas 107.7 thousand bales of cotton were sold to exporters. This resulted in around 352 thousand bales of stock remaining unsold as of June 1, 2019.
