December 11, 2024 (MLN): Motorcycles and three-wheeler sales in Pakistan dropped 12.5% in November 2024 to 120,484 units compared to 137,693 units sold in the previous month, the latest data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) showed today.
Conversely, on a year-on-year basis, sales were recorded 36.15% higher than the top line of 88,493 units sold in the same month of last year.
In 5MFY25, sales of the respective category clocked in at 578,364 units, 25.88% higher compared to 459,459 units sold in 5MFY24.
The total production of Motorcycles and three-wheelers in Pakistan was recorded at 121,666 units in November, up 40.53% compared to 86,575 manufactured in the same month of last year.
On a monthly basis, the production comparison reflects an inverse trend, declining 11.14%. In the previous month, 136,926 Motorcycles and three-wheelers were manufactured in the country.
Honda continued to solidify its position as the dominant industry leader, with sales of 100,588 units in November alone, taking its market share to 83.49%.
The brand's sales figure reflects a drop of 12.75% compared to the previous month, while up 32.28% compared to the topline recorded in November 2023.
The second and third leaders on the list were United Auto Motorcycle and 0, with sales figures of 12,085 and 2,214 units respectively in the review month.
Following closely, Sazgar Three Wheeler sold 1,976 bikes in November, down 17.7% MoM, while 155.63% higher compared to November 2023.
In 5MFY25, Honda's sales were recorded at 486,758 units, compared to 398,303 units sold in 5MFY24.
