MOITT launches seven more projects worth Rs8bn

March 14, 2022 (MLN): Ministry of IT & Telecom (MOITT) through Universal Service Fund (USF) has launched seven more projects worth over Rs8 billion to provide broadband services to over 2.5 million people in un served and underserved areas of the four provinces, including Rs3.5 billion for Baluchistan.

The projects were approved today at the 81st meeting of Board of Directors of USF.

The number of projects for providing optical fiber cable & broadband services from 2018 to date has reached a record 56 and total cost (Subsidy) has exceeded Rs52 billion.
