Miftah Ismail assures APTMA of govt’s full support in resolving textile sector issues

June 23, 2022 (MLN): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mr. Miftah Ismail assured the delegation of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) of full support of the present government and directed the relevant authorities to resolve their issues on a priority basis.

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Mr. Miftah Ismail presided over a meeting with the APTMA delegation headed by Dr. Gohar Ejaz today.

Federal Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar and senior officers from Finance and Commerce ministries attended the meeting.

The delegation briefed the Finance Minister about the working of APTMA and its contribution to the revenues, employment generation and exports of Pakistan. The delegation further apprised the Finance Minister about the issues being faced by their industry specifically related to gas and electricity pricing and supply.

The Finance Minister acknowledged the contribution of APTMA to the economic growth of the country and assured the delegation of the full support of the present government. Moreover, the Finance Minister directed the relevant authorities to resolve their issues on a priority basis.

The delegation APTMA thanked the Finance Minister for providing support and addressing their issues.
