Mari Energies strikes third gas, condensate discovery at Spinwam-1

April 03, 2025 (MLN): Mari Energies (PSX: MARI) has made a third significant gas and condensate discovery at the Spinwam-1 exploration well in the Waziristan Block, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The latest discovery comes from the Hangu Formation, where the well has flowed 23.85 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas and approximately 122 barrels per day (bbl/day) of condensate.

The well was tested at a 32/64" choke, recording a Well Head Flowing Pressure (WHFP) of 4,042 psi.

Mari Energies operates the Waziristan Block with a 55% working interest, while Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) holds a 35% stake, and Orient Petroleum Inc. has a 10% share.

Further testing of additional targeted formations is underway to evaluate the well’s full potential.

This discovery strengthens MariEnergies’ footprint in Pakistan’s upstream sector and highlights the region's hydrocarbon potential.
