Mamnoon stresses cooperation, consultation with business community

President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday emphasized the need for cooperation and consultation with the business community to strengthen tax collection regime.

The President was talking to outgoing Federal Tax Ombudsman Abdur Rauf Chaudhry who paid a farewell call on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad.

The President appreciated that the confidence of taxpayers has increased with the improvement in tax refund system.

He President commended the services of Abdur Rauf Chaudhry during his tenure as Federal Tax Ombudsman. He also praised his efforts to make the tax collection regime people friendly and transparent. Moreover, he also lauded the use of modern means of communication to create awareness among the taxpayers.

President Mamnoon Hussain wished the outgoing Federal Tax Ombudsman well in his future endeavors.
