KSE-100 surges 1,144 points in intraday trade

March 13, 2025 (MLN): Riding a wave of positivity, the benchmark KSE-100 Index has gained 1,144.68 points (1%) to reach 115,229.21 in intraday trade (12:08 PM).

Top gainers were PKGP (+10.00%), PKGS (+6.37%), IBFL (+6.24%), PSO (+4.49%), and PGLC (+3.86%).

On the other hand, top losers were SRVI (-1.55%), THALL (-1.43%), NCPL (-1.29%), CHCC (-0.55%), and POL (-0.52%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+147.73pts), PSO (+117.59pts), ENGROH (+84.27pts), MARI (+78.19pts), and LUCK (+71.48pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were SRVI (-15.08pts), POL (-12.17pts), THALL (-7.47pts), CHCC (-5.63pts), and COLG (-2.67pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+197.75pts), Commercial Banks (+174.73pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+150.85pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+121.78pts), and Power Generation & Distribution (+98.54pts).

The index was let down by Leather & Tanneries (-15.08pts), Automobile Parts & Accessories (-7.47pts), Real Estate Investment Trust (-2.34pts), Engineering (-1.69pts), and Glass & Ceramics (-0.56pts).
