PSX’s benchmark index, KSE – 100 Index today succumbed to profit taking during the day as investors saw the opportunity to make the most of the ongoing rally.
BAHL (-3.46%), HUBC (-2.41%), ENGRO (-1.71%), FFC (-1.84%), OGDC (-0.93%), POL (-1.26%) and PSO (- 1.63%) were among the top losers during the day, cumulatively taking away more than 175 points. Dost Steel Ltd. DSL +2.52% garnered much attention after the Chairman while talking to MG Link News informed of the company’s plan to start commercial operations well before the stipulated time. Sector-wise all share index turnover was led by Cement (43.472 million), Engineering (40.440 million), and Commercial Banks (34.346 million) with Miscellaneous (11.006 million) and Textile Spinning (10.673 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE-100 Index at the day end moved a total of -235.47 points down by -0.54%, closing in at 43395.28 points with index high-low range of 43824.02 – 43140.94.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 319.167 million shares, value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 13.723 billion.
The index movement was limited within the 683.08 points range.
31 companies closed up, whereas 61 were down at the day end.
