July 18, 2023 (MLN): The board of Telenor Microfinance Bank on Monday appointed Kashif Ahmed, Chief Compliance Officer as the Acting CEO with effect from July 18, 2023.

Kashif Ahmed is a seasoned and accomplished professional in the world of finance and compliance.

With almost three decades of experience, Kashif has established himself as a visionary leader and a driving force in the industry.

Currently serving as the Chief Compliance Officer at Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited, Kashif has been leading the charge in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and fostering a culture of integrity within the organization.

Before joining Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited, Kashif held several pivotal roles in other esteemed institutions.

As the Group Head of Compliance & Controls and EVP-II at MCB Islamic Bank Ltd., he played a key role in shaping the bank's compliance strategy and risk management framework, guiding the institution through six years of prosperous growth.

Kashif's journey in the finance industry began at Mashreqbank Pakistan Limited where he demonstrated remarkable versatility in handling complex challenges, further solidifying his reputation as a respected leader in the industry.

Later he joined MCB Bank Limited, where he served as Head of Operations for Retail Banking and later as Head of Compliance for Islamic Banking, reaching the prestigious position of EVP-I.

Beyond his impressive banking career, Kashif has also excelled in the realm of asset management. As CFO & Company Secretary of one of the leading Asset Management companies, he showcased his financial acumen and strategic foresight.

Throughout his illustrious career, Kashif Ahmed has continuously demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, constantly pushing boundaries and embracing innovation.

 His tenure as Director/Partner at Deloitte showcased his exceptional consulting skills and business acumen, serving various clients and making a significant impact on their growth trajectories.
