KAPCO emerges as lowest bidder for K-Electric’s 120 MW solar project

November 26, 2024 (MLN): Kot Addu Power Company Limited (PSX: KAPCO) has emerged as the lowest bidder for K-Electric’s proposed 120 MW solar power project at Deh Halkani, District West, Karachi, the company's filing on PSX revealed today.
The company submitted a competitive bid tariff of PKR 9.8319 per kWh (3.4061 cents/kWh), calculated at the reference exchange rate of USD/PKR 288.65.
The bidding process, conducted by K-Electric, adhered to NEPRA’s Electric Power Procurement Regulations, 2022.
The formal award of the project is now contingent on regulatory approval from NEPRA, which will assess the Report of Auction and Evaluation Committee prepared by K-Electric.
