IRSA releases 200,079 cusecs water

May 17, 2022: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Tuesday released 200,079 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 193,263 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,413.20 feet, which was 21.02 feet higher than its dead level 1,392 feet.

Water inflow and outflow in the dam was recorded as 95,700 and100,000 cusecs respectively.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,086.35 feet, which was 36.35 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded 35,649 and 32,265 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 98,355, 97,109 and 37,890 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 32,600 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 35,214 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
