IRSA releases 113,100 cusecs water

April 9, 2019: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Tuesday released 113,100 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 162,000 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1,403.81 feet, which was 17.81 feet higher than its dead level of 1,386 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 34,200 cusecs and outflow as 15,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1,121.65 feet, which was 81.65 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 54,700 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 59,300 cusecs, 28,200 cusecs and 9,500 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, 41,800 cusecs water was released from the Kabul River at Nowshera and 19,100 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
