IMF team to visit Pakistan in March for 1st review of Extended Fund Facility

February 21, 2025 (MLN): The International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff team is scheduled to visit Pakistan in early to mid-March for discussions around the first review under Pakistan’s Extended Fund Facility-supported program.

Additionally, the visit will include discussions on the authorities’ request for assistance under a Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) arrangement, as per the press release issued today.

In this regard, a technical team will be in Pakistan starting in late February to discuss technical issues related to a possible RSF arrangement.

The IMF delegation will also discuss Pakistan’s request for climate financing, said the IMF representative.
