Washington, April 9: The International Monetary Fund on Tuesday cut its US growth forecast significantly for 2019 but said the US would still outpace other advanced nations as the global economy slows.

The world's largest economy is now expected to expand at a 2.3 percent clip this year, down from the 2.5 percent expected in January but still comparatively strong, the IMF said its quarterly World Economic Outlook.

However, the report warns of building risks including high debt levels and trade tensions.
