Honda Atlas Pakistan makes history with 1st-ever CBU vehicle export to Japan

March 29, 2025 (MLN): Honda Atlas Pakistan has officially commenced the export of completely built-up (CBU) vehicles, marking the country's first-ever export of completely built units, with an initial shipment of 40 Honda City cars to Japan.

The momentous occasion was celebrated at a special export ceremony, where Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Haroon Akhtar Khan, attended as the chief guest, according to the press release issued today.

Praising Honda Atlas for this achievement, Haroon Akhtar Khan stated, "The hard work and dedication of Honda Atlas are commendable."

He further emphasized that "the Pakistani auto sector is ready to emerge on the global stage."

Outlining the government's support for industrial growth, Haroon Akhtar reiterated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision, stating, "Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision is export-driven industrial growth."

He also assured that "the government is committed to supporting the auto sector with favorable policies."

Encouraging local manufacturers to explore global markets, Haroon Akhtar stressed that an increase in exports would significantly contribute to industrial development.
