Govt vows to achieve GDP growth target of 6 percent in current fiscal year says Finance Minister Ishaq Dar

Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar says budget of current fiscal year has been prepared with the primary aim of providing relief and increasing the welfare of the general public.
He stated this while presiding over a meeting in Islamabad on Sunday to review matters related to Finance Division.
He said that through prudent economic policies and strict financial discipline, the present government has been able to achieve macroeconomic stability, and now the focus is on achieving higher sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
The Minister said that the government is determined to achieve the GDP growth target of 6 percent in the current fiscal year.
Secretary Finance briefed the Minister on implementation measures for the budget of current fiscal year.
