Govt. to facilitate farming community via new policies

March 5, 2019: Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat has said that incumbent government will soon introduce policies for the welfare of farmers.

Addressing the annual conference of Auriga Group in Lahore, the minister said that in past agriculture lands were used for commercial purpose which badly damaged not only the agriculture but also the environment and climate.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken positive measure to put ban on the use of agriculture land for residential and commercial purposes.

He also hailed the role of private sector for the promotion of agriculture in the area.

The Minister said use of modern technology can help achieving progress in agriculture sector.
