Government appoints Riaz Raziuddin as acting governor SBP

Government of Pakistan has appointed Riaz Raziuddin, currently serving as deputy governor of State Bank of Pakistan, as Acting Governor of the central bank.

A Government of Pakistan notification released on Sunday said that Riaz Raziuddin has been appointed Acting Governor of the central bank for three months or till such time the appointment of the new Governor.

The former Governor Ashraf Mehmood Wathra's term ended on April 29. He was appointed Governor for three years in 2014.
