Gold rises to fresh record in Pakistan

August 20, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan rose to a fresh record on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs260,700 per tola after a gain of Rs700.

It is worth noting that the price has been kept a significant Rs4,000 below its actual cost today.

The Karachi Sarafa Association further reported the price of 24-karat gold at Rs223,508 per 10-gram, up Rs600.

Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted higher at Rs204,882 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,950 per tola and Rs2,529 per 10-gram.

On the global front, spot gold traded near $2,521 an ounce, up $18 or 0.72% from the previous session.
