Gold rate moves up by Rs 100 to Rs 113,650 per tola

December 30, 2020 (MLN): Safe-haven asset extended gains on Wednesday in the domestic bullion market. The price of 24 karat gold edged up by Rs 100 to Rs 113,650 against the price of Rs 113,550 per tola reported yesterday.

According to the data compiled by the All Sindh Saraf and Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold inched up by Rs 86 to stand at Rs 97,436 against the price of Rs. 97,350 reported in the previous session.

On the other hand, the price of silver tola and 10-gram silver tola remained static at Rs 1,320 and Rs 1,131.68 respectively.

In the international market, the gold rate moved up by $2 to $1,880 an ounce due to the greenback weakened across the board amid uncertainty over US stimulus aid package, while the price of silver was pegged at $26.33 an ounce.
