Gold prices in Pakistan remain stable ahead of key US inflation data

March 25, 2024 (MLN): The domestic bullion held steady on Monday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs228,200 per tola, unchanged from the previous session.

To note, last week gold price had inched up Rs700 per tola.

The Karachi Sarafa Association reported that the price of 24-karat gold reached Rs195,645 per 10-gram.

Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted at Rs179,341 per 10-gram.

Moreover, silver prices also remained unchanged, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,580 per tola and Rs2,211.93 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold was little changed at $2,167.6, up slightly by $2.17 or 0.10% on the day.

Investors are closely monitoring the personal consumption expenditures (PCE) index data, the Fed's preferred gauge of inflation, with traders hoping for a reading that shows price gains slowing further.
