Gold price surges by Rs450 DoD per tola

December 24, 2021 (MLN): The price for 24-karat gold on Friday surged by Rs450 to close at Rs126,150 per tola in the domestic bullion market, according to data released by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association.

Similarly, the price for 10-gram of 24k gold closed at Rs108,153, showing an increase of Rs386. While 10-gram of 22k gold was traded at Rs99,140.

However, the price of 24k silver and 10-gram 24k remained flat at Rs1,460 per tola and Rs1,251.71, respectively.

In the international market, gold rose to $1,810 an ounce, up by $5 as investors cheered the optimism tackling the Omicron, covid variant. Meanwhile silver reached $22.96 per ounce.
