Gold price slumps by Rs 1,000 on Friday

January 10, 2020 (MLN): Gold prices slumped by Rs. 1,000 per tola on Friday, before settling at Rs. 89,500 per tola.

To recall, the price of gold had reached a peak of Rs. 93,400 per tola on January 6, 2020, amidst mounting political tensions between the United States and Iran.

Since then, the prices have come down by Rs. 3,900 per tola on account of ease in political tensions.
