Gold price recovers by Rs300 in Pakistan

January 09, 2024 (MLN): Domestic bullion rebounded on Tuesday, as the price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan gained Rs300 per tola to Rs216,400.

The Karachi Sarafa Association reported that the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold was at Rs185,528, reflecting an increase of Rs257.

While the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold stood at Rs170,067.

Meanwhile, the price of silver remained unchanged, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,660 per tola and Rs 2,280.52 per 10-gram.

On the global front, international spot gold rose 0.24%, currently trading at 2,032.48. This comes after it fell around 0.86% yesterday after the forecast-busting US jobs report dampened hopes for an early interest rate cut.
