Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs1,600 per tola

January 30, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Thursday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs290,300 per tola, up Rs1,600.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs248,885 after a gain of Rs1,372, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs228,152 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,450 per tola (+Rs59) and Rs2,957 per 10-gram (+Rs50).

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,778 an ounce, up $18.2 or 0.66% from the previous session.

Safe-haven gold prices rose on Thursday as investors worried about potential import tariffs from U.S. President Donald Trump, while investors awaited a key inflation report to gauge the Federal Reserve's policy path.
