Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs200 per tola

January 16, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Thursday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs282,200 per tola, up Rs1,400.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs241,941 after a gain of Rs1,200, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs221,787 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,433 per tola (+Rs83) and Rs2,943 per 10-gram (+Rs71).

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,707 an ounce, up $12.8 or 0.48% from the previous session.

Gold prices firmed near one-month highs hit earlier on Thursday after a softer-than-expected core U.S. inflation print increased chances of two Federal Reserve rate cuts this year, with the first likely in June.
