January 09, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Thursday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs278,300 per tola, up Rs1,300.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs238,597 after a gain of Rs1,114, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs218,714 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,670 an ounce, up $7.3 or 0.27% from the previous session.

Gold prices hovered near a four-week high on Thursday, supported by safe-haven demand, while investors pondered about how U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's policies would impact the economy and inflation.
