Gold price in Pakistan rises Rs1,000 per tola

December 18, 2024 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan increased on Wednesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs275,900 per tola, up Rs1,000.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs236,540 after a gain of Rs858, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs216,828 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,400 per tola and Rs2,915 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,646 an ounce, down $1.1 or 0.04% from the previous session.

Gold continues to experience downward pressure for the fourth consecutive trading session, with the most active February futures contract.

The US dollar index marginally increased by 0.09%, reaching 106.985, reflecting evolving market dynamics.
