Gold price in Pakistan inches up to Rs245,700

April 08, 2024 (MLN): 24-karat gold price in Pakistan inched upwards to a new record high of Rs245,700 per tola, showing a rise of Rs600 compared to the previous session.

Last week, the yellow metal had gained a significant Rs10,300 per tola.

The association further reported that the price of 24-karat gold reached Rs210,648 per 10-gram, up Rs514 compared to the last session.

Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted higher at Rs193,094 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,650 per tola and Rs2,271.94 per 10-gram.

On the global front, international spot gold surged to a new record high of around $2,350 an ounce before paring some of its gains. It was last traded at $2,336.66 an ounce.

Investors are closely monitoring the US inflation reading due later this week.
