Gold price in Pakistan falls Rs2,500 per tola

February 28, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Friday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs300,500 per tola, down Rs2,500.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs257,639 after a decline of Rs2,134, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs236,169 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices fell in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,250 per tola (-Rs64) and Rs2,786 per 10-gram (-Rs55).

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,862 an ounce, down $13.7 or 0.48% from the previous session.

Gold fell on Friday, putting it on course for its first weekly loss in nine as the U.S. dollar strengthened and the market awaited an inflation print later in the day that could provide clarity on the Federal Reserve's policy path.
