Gold price in Pakistan falls Rs1,400 per tola

January 14, 2025 (MLN): Gold price in Pakistan decreased on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs277,900 per tola, down Rs1,400.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs238,254 after a decline of Rs1,201, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted lower at Rs218,400 per 10-gram.

On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,350 per tola and Rs2,872 per 10-gram.

Globally, spot gold traded near $2,669 an ounce, up $1.4 or 0.05% from the previous session.

Gold prices rose on Tuesday, helped by a softer U.S. dollar and inflationary risks posed by President-elect Donald Trump's potential tariff policies, which could influence the pace of Federal Reserve monetary policy easing this year.
