Gold price gains on weaker dollar

December 16, 2020 (MLN): Gold prices surged on Wednesday in the domestic bullion market as the price of 24 karat gold rose by Rs 750 to Rs 111,750 against the price of Rs 111,000 per tola reported yesterday.

According to the data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold also grew by Rs 643 to Rs 95,808 against the price of Rs 95,165 reported in the previous session.

Likewise, the price of silver tola and 10-gram silver witnessed an increase of Rs 50 and Rs 42.87 to stand at Rs 1,250 and Rs 1,071.67 respectively, the association reported.

In the international market, weakness in the dollar and US stimulus talks supported the price for the yellow metal as its price saw an increase of US$20 and traded at US$ 1,864 per ounce, while silver was pegged at US$ 25.20 an ounce.
