Gold price edges higher by Rs200 per tola

December 1, 2021 (MLN): Following the notable decline in the previous session, gold on Wednesday observed an increase in prices in domestic bullion markets as the 24-karat gold was sold at Rs122,800, showing an uptick of Rs200 per tola, according to data provided by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association today.

The price of 10-gram of 24k gold also edged higher by Rs178 and was traded at Rs105,281 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs96,508.

On the other hand, the price of 24-karat silver and 10-gram of 24-karat silver remained unchanged at Rs1,460 and Rs1,251.71 respectively.

Meanwhile, the demand for the yellow metal was subdued in the international market as the per ounce gold traded at $1,786 as investors remained cautious and waited for fresh updates on the Omicron variant.
