Gold hits highest ever price in Pakistan at Rs317,350 per tola

March 18, 2025 (MLN): Gold prices in Pakistan hit a record high on Tuesday, soaring to Rs317,350 per tola with a sharp increase of Rs2,550.

Similarly, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs272,076 after a gain of Rs2,186, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs249,412 per 10-gram.

Similarly, silver prices rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,555 per tola (+Rs25) and Rs3,047 per 10-gram (+Rs21).

Globally, spot gold traded near $3,023 an ounce, up $23.8 or 0.79% from the previous session.

Gold prices scaled a record peak above the crucial $3,000-mark on Tuesday for the second time within a week, as investors sought cover from economic concerns fuelled by U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff policies.
