Gold continues to shine, up by Rs2,500 per tola

October 20, 2021 (MLN): Gold made another new high today as the price of 24-karat gold in the domestic bullion soared by Rs2,500 to close the trade at Rs122,200 per tola on Wednesday.

According to data provided by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold also jumped by Rs2,144 and was traded at Rs104,767 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs946,036.

Similarly, the price of 24-karat silver and 10-gram of 24-karat silver also increased by Rs40 and Rs34.28 to stand at Rs1,470 and Rs1,260.28, respectively.

In the international market, the demand for gold augmented by $18 to $1,781 an ounce on a relatively softer dollar. However, gains were limited by elevated Treasury yields while silver was traded at $24 per ounce.
