FX reserves fall to $24.02 billion in a week

January 06, 2022 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the country dipped by $254.8 million or 1% WoW to stand at $24.02 billion during the week ended on December 31, 2021, compared to $24.27 billion in the previous week, weekly data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed on Thursday.

As per the data, the reserves held by the central bank during the week decreased by $169million to $17.68 billion. Similarly, the reserves of commercial banks dipped by $85.5 million to $6.33 billion from $6.42 billion in the previous week.
