FX reserves decline by $385.3mn in a week

March 17, 2022 (MLN): The total liquid foreign exchange reserves held by the country dropped by $385.3 million or 1.6% WoW to stand at $22.28 billion during the week ended on March 11, 2022, compared to $22.67bn in the previous week, weekly data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday showed.

The data further revealed that reserves held by the central bank during the week declined by $380.6mn or 2.3% WoW to $15.83bn.

Similarly, the reserves of commercial banks inched down by $4.7mn to $6.45bn from $6.456bn in the previous week.
