Foreign reserves with State Bank fall by $342 million

The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$16,369.7 million on 31 August 2018, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.

Foreign reserved held by the State Bank fell by $342 million to $9,885.1 million. The reason cited for the decline in reserves include “external debt servicing and other official payments.”

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks as on 31, August 2018 were $6,484.6 million, bringing the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country to $16,369.7 million.
