FinMin appreciates World Bank’s role in CPF implementation

April 22, 2025 (MLN): The World Bank's continued support in developing a comprehensive implementation strategy and an action plan for the operationalization of the Country Partnership Framework (CPF) and improving overall operational efficiency was appreciated by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb.

The appreciation was conveyed during a productive meeting with Mr. Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank Group, according to the press release

The Minister thanked him for the World Bank's historical support to Pakistan and for spearheading the conception and preparation of a decade-long CPF with a sharp focus on impacts and outcomes.

He also provided a comprehensive run-down of the macro-economic turnaround achieved by Pakistan and expressed the government's resolve for ensuring sustainable macroeconomic stability.
